Your new Area Commander: Putting communities first |
||
|
Dear Resident, I’m pleased to introduce myself as Superintendent Paul Rogerson, the new South Area Commander, with responsibility for policing across Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and East Cambridgeshire. I’ve been a police officer for 24 years and have spent my entire career serving communities here in Cambridgeshire. During that time, I’ve worked in a wide range of roles including neighbourhood policing, response policing, custody management, and partnership‑based prevention work. For the past two years, I’ve served as Head of Prevention and Custody, helping to shape neighbourhood policing and working closely with councils, health services and voluntary organisations. This has included work to tackle anti‑social behaviour, serious violence, and to safeguard vulnerable people, as well as focusing on early intervention to prevent harm before it happens. As South Area Commander, I’m committed to making a positive and lasting difference by ensuring policing remains focused on the needs of local communities. I want to be visible, accessible and responsive, and I’m committed to listening to residents and addressing the issues that matter most where you live. I strongly believe that prevention, early intervention and strong local relationships are key to keeping communities safe and building confidence in policing. Kind Regards, Paul | ||
